FOCUS OF THE WEEK

Nvidia's market value hits $2 trillion, fueled by AI demand for its chips. Doubled turnover and rapid share price growth showcase its ascent.

The price of the firm's shares has more than tripled over the last 12 months, from less than $240 apiece to nearly $800.

On Thursday, the day after its earnings report, buyers snapping up shares pushed its value up by $277bn, Wall Street's largest one-day gain in history.

⚡️Insights:

Meta plans to integrate 350,000 of Nvidia’s flagship H100 chips into its AI data centers by the end of 2024. This move already is a strong indicator of Nvidia's dominance in the AI hardware space. We can only foresee Nvidia continue to dominate the market before anyone shows up in the ring.

I am sure everyone’s been busy picking up their jaws since the release of video generated from OpenAI’s latest video model, Sora. Unlike previous works limited to specific types or sizes of visual data, Sora is even capable of handling diverse formats, including videos and images of varying resolutions, durations, and aspect ratios.

Basically Sora's architecture utilizes a video compression network to condense raw visual data into a compressed latent space, from which spacetime patches are extracted. These patches serve as tokens for the diffusion transformer, enabling efficient training and scaling for video generation tasks.

⚡️Insights:

This is the real game-changer like no other AI technology releases. The leverage in businesses with the unprecedented capabilities in content creation and simulation that Sora can bring is gonna disrupt the world in the coming decade. I can’t even fathom what Sora and deepfakes are gonna bring us in the future….
