OpenAI's GPT Store, allowing users to sell and share customized AI agents based on GPT-4 models, is set to launch next week. Initially delayed, the store aims to let creators monetize their GPTs.
Originally scheduled for November, the GPT Store launch was delayed due to OpenAI's leadership chaos.
OpenAI plans a revenue-sharing model based on community usage, highlighting top GPTs on a leaderboard and recognizing outstanding creations. Users can keep their GPTs private, and chat interactions remain confidential.
⚡️Insights:
Could this be the App Store moment for GPTs? The GPT Store's discoverability and revenue-sharing features are poised to create a novel distribution platform, empowering AI builders and fostering growth on OpenAI's platform.

Microsoft executive Dee Templeton has become a non-voting observer on OpenAI's board in a wider boardroom reshuffle.
Following CEO Sam Altman's temporary ousting and the boardroom saga in November, Microsoft pledged this role. Templeton, a 25-year veteran at Microsoft, holds the position of vice president for technology and research partnerships and operations.
The move follows OpenAI's commitment to reconstitute its board, including individuals like Bret Taylor and Larry Summers. OpenAI and Microsoft have not commented on the matter.
⚡️Insights:
Remember the OpenAI drama back in November? With a 49% stake of OpenAI, $10 billion committed capital, Microsoft is definitely working their way to secure the investment.
